Simone has received Honours in Professional Editing and Proofreading from the Australian College of Journalism.  She has had several years of experience in the writing, copyediting and proofreading of newsletters, letters, website pages, advertisements and newspaper articles for some prominent local real estate firms.

Simone is also proficient in proofreading and copyediting science essays.  She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Australia, graduating with a degree double-majoring in Anatomy/Human Biology and Anthropology.  She was employed by the Lions Eye Institute of Perth as a researcher in the field of corrective refractive corneal laser surgery for 4 years.  During this time Simone wrote, proofread and copyedited several scientific documents.  She is also a co-author of a successfully published article (related to corneal laser surgery) in the esteemed Journal of Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science.

In addition to her professional work, Simone enjoys writing for her own pleasure.  She is currently in the throws of getting a children's book published, and she also writes music and lyrics.  Some of her songs have been used in local productions.
