Simone has received Honours in Professional Editing and Proofreading from the Australian College of Journalism. She has had several years of experience in the writing, copyediting and proofreading of newsletters, letters, website pages, advertisements and newspaper articles for some prominent local real estate firms. Simone's expertise lies in the proofreading of tertiary level essays for students. Some of these students do not speak English as their first language. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Australia, graduating with a degree double-majoring in Anatomy/Human Biology and Anthropology. Simone was employed by the Lions Eye Institute of Perth as a researcher in the field of Corrective Refractive Corneal Laser Surgery for over 4 years. During this time she wrote, proofread and copyedited several scientific documents, and she is also the co-author of articles (relating to corneal laser surgery) which have been published in esteemed Journals. In addition to her professional work, Simone enjoys writing for her own pleasure. She is currently in the throws of getting a children's book published, and she also writes music and lyrics. Some of her songs have been used in local productions. Simone proofreads and copyedits your documents using the Australian Macquarie Dictionary and, if necessary, the latest edition of the Style Manual for Authors and Editors.
